Neighbourhood Patronato
The particular neighbourhood Patronato is located between the streets of Bellavista, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro and Recoleta, with the Metro station Patronato.
Emerging in the late nineteenth century, thanks to initiative of the arriving Arab trades in Chile, the neighbourhood La Chimba (the former name of Patronato) developed a center of businesses and sales. With the time many shops have been installed, trading various products from which are most of them textiles.
It is one of the most cosmopolitan area of Santiago and is characterized by its wide variety of affordable shopping, where you can find products such as accessories, shoes, purses, decorations, jewellery, toys, books, lingerie, and oriental supermarkets.
Its streets are narrow, hence they are lined with small shops and street vendors.
The street El Manzano, in the district of Patronato, offers also unique options of independent designers, which generally have a higher value.
