Crafts
Handicrafts reflect, in some way, the culture of a country. In Chile it is strongly influenced by the Indigen cultures, which are typically Mapuche ponchos.
You can find crafts throughout Chile. Santiago, for its part, offers different focus points with a great variety of products. The two best known places are: the Pueblito de los Dominicos, located at the Av. Nueva Apoquindo 9085, Las Condes; and the Santa Lucia craft fair in Alameda with Carmen, in Santiago Centro.

On the outskirts of Santiago, you can visit Pomaire, which is located about 80km from Santiago. This town is famous for the sale of dishes, pots, cups and saucers craft clay. In Pomaire you can also enjoy typical Chilean dishes, like cazuelas and giant empanadas.
