Santiago offers a variety of international and national shops, from bookstores, fashion, decorations to crafts.
Some neighbourhoods focus more on exclusive shops and others are simply characterized by their low prices as: Meiggs, Patronato, Persa Bio Bio y la Vega.
The malls are a common place at this time for shopping, since most of them have services and specialty shops. The larger ones are located in the east of Santiago. In Las Condes for example, you can find Apumanque, Parque Arauco y Alto Las Condes.
You will probable not leave Chile without purchasing some of its handcrafted products. Santiago offers a range of decorative products, clothing and accessories, from which most are made by hand.
