Because of the long geographical extent of Chile you may find various kinds of typical foods, depending on the area you are in.
Typical food for the northern zone, asado (carne de alpaca), Chairo, Chicharrón de papa. Chuñu puti con huevo, Calapurka, Picante de guata o pollo, Sango o Piri, Ponche de leche, Charqui, Wuatia.
Typical food for the central zone, Cazuela, Caldillo de congrio, Empanada de pino, Mote con huesillo, Dulces chilenos, Pastel de choclo, Charquicán, Humitas.
Typical food for the southern zone, mariscos y pescados, Milcaos, Chapaleles, Curanto, Licor de oro, El Valdiviano.
